April 2003 Liver Metastases of Colorectal Cancer

Hello, my name is John. In August 2001, I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer, stage four, with metastases to the liver. The primary tumor was found at 4 in. inside the rectum. I underwent surgery at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Seattle Washington. All went fine. While I was at the hospital, the oncology team dropped by often to discuss further treatments. They wanted me to undergo chemotherapy and radiation. At that time I was too weak to have the chemotherapy and radiation treatments. I was sent home on October 10, 2001. My wife went library to check out books and we started reading about cancer and chemotherapy. I was scared to death about the possibility of having chemotherapy.

While I was recuperating, every Sunday I would listen to a radio station and an announcement about Advanced Alternatives Cancer Centers and Dr. Minton's cancer treatments.
