Breast Cancer Testimonial

(The following is an exciting and interesting story of how one of my patients has been successfully battling a serious case of breast cancer.using only natural therapies. B.P. first consulted with me in early 1998. She described having been diagnosed with cancer of the right breast in 1996 (confirmed by tissue biopsy and mammogram at that time). She refused surgery, chemotherapy and radiation then. As a matter of fact, she received no conventional therapy at all following the initial diagnosis in 1996. By the time I first examined her in 1998, it was very obvious that her condition had worsened since 1996. Examination of her breast led me to conclude that the cancer in the right breast had spread and enlarged, and that it had also spread to the left breast. To confirm this, I ordered a mammogram which agreed. Receiving the mammogram, I discussed the serious nature of the situation with her, and discussed her options both in alternative and conventional medicine. She continued to refuse any conventional medical care.

We immediately began an intensive course of alternative treatment including intravenous, injections, dietary, mind/body, and supplements. Approximately two weeks later we could both notice the positive effects. The tumors in both breasts began softening and shrinking. They continued shrinking in size over the next few months. After marked reduction in the tumors was achieved (the lesions in the left breast had become so small they were difficult to feel at all) she decided to return to the surgeon for his opinion. He confirmed the diagnosis of cancer in both breasts and recommended bilateral mastectomy, even though the tumors were definitely smaller than they had been in the mammogram of several months prior. The initial surgical procedures surprised the surgeon by revealing that only benign scar tissue remained in the left breast. They therefore canceled the mastectomy of the left breast. The right breast surgery was performed with the surgeon telling the patient that the masses within it were non-cancerous. However, closer examination of the masses later on by the pathologist revealed some residual areas of cancer. In my opinion, her cancer had been slowly reversing from our alternative treatments and may well have been completely eradicated with another month or so of therapy. She underwent specialized alternative therapy following surgery to eradicate any remaining cancer cells and to minimize the ability of any remaining cancer cells to grow or metastasize. At this time (October 1999) there is no indication of any cancer present within her. I am encouraging her to have follow up evaluations by the surgeon and we are both hopeful that no cancer remains in her system! Phillip Minton, M.D.)
