It has long been known that each cancer patient and their disease are unique. This is true even if they seemingly have the exact same stage and type of cancer that others may have. The reasons for this phenomenon are multiple. Every person has experienced a unique exposure to potential carcinogens such as toxins, radiation and stress. Additionally, the immune system of each person is unique. Each person will have accumulated varying amounts of different toxins and poisons during their life. Finally, the genes that control each cancer cell will be different from person to person. The genes are the innermost part of every living cell. Untold millions of cells compromise the human body. As we go through life, our body cells are subject to many types of noxious stress factors, such as poisons and radiation, which may cause their genes to change from a normal type to an abnormal type. Severe manifestations of abnormal genes can lead to cancer.

Recent scientific discoveries reveal that we have two important protections against the development of cancer. These are protective mechanisms within the genes themselves, and the immune system. Advanced Alternatives utilizes the most potent known natural mechanisms in their quest to stimulate both of these potential protective and healing mechanisms.

Cells that have transformed into cancer cells have markedly abnormal genes within them. The abnormal genes control the cancer cell. The genes cause the malignant cell to look and act as it does help a dangerous, abnormal cancer cell. Apoptosis fails to protect us from cancer when the genes that control apoptosis fail to work. They can fail to work if they were defective from birth or if they have been weakened by stress, toxins, radiation, and other damaging factors. Many natural substances found in plants strengthen and re-invigorate the apoptosis genes. We at Advanced Alternatives treat our patients with high doses of these natural substances via intravenous infusions and injections. This is to reveal any defect in the immune system, and to show how much the immune system has been "ramped-up" by the treatments. Testing consists of measuring the total numbers of immune cells, their health and activity. Another crucial area of testing and therapy is to stimulate the Natural Killer Cells. NKCs are the primary component of the immune system known to directly impact tumors. NKCs have been shown to congregate inside malignant tumors. The tumors are attacked internally by the NKCs, which destroy living malignant cell primarily in the middle layers of tumors. Stimulation if the immune system and Natural Killer Cells is so important to Advanced Alternatives that we have a special program focusing on it that we call the "Immune Boost Program". A typical day of treatment at any Advanced Alternatives Cancer Center alternative cancer clinic begins with a greeting and evaluation from the friendly staff. The staff are caring and well trained experts in their fields. Each staff member is licensed by the state, if a license exists for their specialty. Advanced Alternatives staff members may include licensed homeopaths, naturopaths, nurses, medical doctors and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs).

Following their evaluation, each patient receives the alternative cancer treatment regimen prescribed for them that day. The natural cancer treatment regimen may involve injections, ultrasound assisted nutraceutical therapy, bio-oxidative and other adjunctive therapies. Sometimes, intravenous treatments are administered.
